THIRD REBELLION ❅ TEXT
[A text hits the network around noon. It's very short and to the point, though it's not specifically addressed to anyone.]
How do you tell the difference between someone you're just friends with and someone you're romantically interested in?
[...Obviously it comes from Isaac. No one else could fail social on this level. At least he was trying to keep his fail minimized! The text was supposed to be private to Hughes. Unfortunately... Isaac is a fail with technology too. Have fun trolling!]

Have you ever properly spoken to Hughes?
no subject
[Their first conversation turned into "LET'S FIND YOU A WIFE" so uh. Not entirely sure how he managed this.]
no subject
Shall I keep my eye out for an invitation to the wedding, then?
no subject
It's not going to happen. I just wanted advice - is that really too much to ask?
[APPARENTLY IT IS ugh he hates you all.]
no subject
[Fine, fine, he'll back off a bit for now - you're so easily teased, though...]
Since I'm essentially going into this blind, it's a bit of a generic answer, but I suppose a large difference is in the level of desire you have for the person's company - it goes beyond simply wanting to spend time with them, but rather prioritizing them above all others. The inverse is also true - you dislike being separated from them for long periods of time, and having your company turned down or passed over by this person in favor of another seems more like rejection than it would coming from others.
There's also the things that everyone discusses when it comes to interest - wanting to protect them, or know that at the very least the person is doing well; physical reactions such as feeling flushed or overly excited at their presence and the like. Does that make sense?
[...Kimblee, this would not be half as creepy if you weren't just ticking things off like they're things you've read about before or something, as opposed to something you should know, but okay.]
no subject
[What Kimblee's said is mostly true - he does tend to put Kimblee above others - well, to an extent. Kimblee is a terrible person and he really shouldn't be put above others but... Well, Isaac is kind of a horrible fail when it comes to this relationship and "liking decent people" stuff, obviously.]
[He honestly doesn't find Kimblee's rather flat statements to be odd; he tends to miss social cues like that very easily, especially when it comes to Kimblee.]
...Thanks for the advice. I'll keep all that in mind.
[That does answer everything though - there really isn't any way for him to deny it, is there? Nope. Not at all.]
[...His whole brain might be crying again.]

no subject
[And unlike Archer who tsuns when he denies things like this, Isaac panics. orz]
no subject
Relax, Isaac. Most people find working out the answer to their question to be a good thing, you know.
no subject
[And it is a good thing! He knows now! ...He just doesn't find it to be a good thing while talking to you.]
no subject
Is this someone you didn't want to be interested in, by any chance?
no subject
[Isaac tilts his head slightly, considering.]
...Well, sort of. I mean, I wasn't expecting it at all. I've known them for awhile and it's... just not something I expected.
no subject
...is there a reason that you keep using "they", rather than "she"?
no subject
[Oh. Well.]
[That's.]
[...What does he do other than orz at you, Kimblee?]
I--!
[...have no idea what to say, to be honest. He's just going to orz forever, okay.]
no subject
Well, I suppose this explains why you didn't want to say anything...
no subject
That's... y-yeah. I... I guess.
[orz orz orz orz]
no subject
[YEP
YEP WE'RE BACK TO DOING THIS AGAIN]
no subject
It's still none of your business...!
no subject
Ah, but it's fascinating, though!
no subject
[orz orz orz orz tho!!!!]
no subject
...Armstrong, perhaps? You did seem to be having quite the time in Violet City.
no subject
No way, it's not Armstrong.
[No offense, Armstrong. But you're just not his type. orz]
I'm not telling you, Kimblee. Quit guessing.
[Because eventually you'll figure it out... orz]
no subject
no subject
[Of course he doesn't have to worry about that. You won't say anything to anyone. That's the problem!]
