NINTH REBELLION ❅ VIDEO / ACTION [GOLDENROD CITY]
[Good morning, Route! The sun is barely up and already Isaac's broadcasting something. Clearly someone here's an early riser. This morning Isaac's sitting outside with several of Goldenrod's buildings in the background, surrounded by icicles. If you care to count, there are four Bergmites all clamoring for Isaac's attention and one Avalugg sitting behind Isaac. It looks like another Pokémon is serving as the cameraman today, though there isn't any indication which Pokémon it is.]
Hey, so I have a question.
[And as usual, Isaac doesn't know how to start this. He seems a bit more at ease today and is actually smiling for once. He's also dressed down, in just a dark green t-shirt and jeans despite the temperature and the surrounding Ice-types.]
I'm looking for sparring partners. Uh, human ones. I don't really spar with my Pokémon. Anyway, I've been here awhile and I'm pretty sure my fighting skills are beginning to suffer, so I'd like to work on that. I'm in Goldenrod right now, but we can always set something up sometime later. This isn't something I need immediately or anything, I just figured I'd see if anyone's interested.
[And then Isaac looks awkward, because how the hell does he end something like this.]
Uh, thanks for your time?
[Well, he tried. The feed cuts out there.]
[You know, when Isaac first evolved a Bergmite into an Avalugg, he was expecting something more impressive. Not that Avalugg isn't impressive, but ever since it was compared to a dining room table he hasn't been able to unsee it. It also doesn't help that Avaluggs are really slow. If you happen to be out around the southern outskirts of Goldenrod, you might catch sight of Isaac riding on top of that Avalugg like the world's slowest-moving beastmaster. There are quite a few Bergmites piled on behind Isaac, and they're sliding around with practiced ease on the slippery surface of the much larger Pokémon, never once risking falling off. Apparently we're riding in style today.
(This may or may not have something to do with the fact that Kimblee has an awesome Pokémon to ride on and it's been awhile since Isaac's blatantly copied Kimblee. This also may or may not have something to do with the fact that riding on a glacier was one of the biggest highlights of Isaac's life back home for a brief, shining moment before some brats showed up and ruined everything in the best way possible.)
This display of slow goes on for a few minutes before Isaac finally glances down at the Avalugg.]
I'd get back to the hotel faster if I was walking...
[He then proceeds to jump off the Avalugg, dropping the six and a half feet to the ground without injuring himself somehow. The Bergmites all crowd around the edge of the Avalugg, chirping down at Isaac excitedly.]
No, don't you dare-- You guys know I can't carry you--!
[Too late. INCOMING BERGMITES!! Since they weigh about 220 lbs individually, there is literally no way Isaac is going to be able to catch them all. Care to help or watch them crash into the ground and see if they shatter like regular icicles?]

[Isaac recalls the Blaziken, but he leaves the Avalugg and the Bergmites out. Speaking of Bergmites, they're all approaching Cecil as a herd, searching for treats or pets or something of the sort. They're very spoiled little icicles, okay.]

I haven't...actually battled anyone else who wasn't originally from here, to be honest?
[Well, this is embarrassing.]
It took the first two I got three-ish months to evolve. Mostly that involved just camping around the outskirts of various towns and terrorizing the local wildlife.
I just feel really weird about fighting preschoolers. Or, y'know, beating up people's pets in general.
But hey, I've only been here since like, November, so maybe I just haven't gotten the hang of things yet? There's still a lot I apparently didn't know about this place.
{And at that, he'll coo all over the Bergmites.]
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaw, aren't you all just the cutest widdle machines of frigid, ungodly death!

[He never stopped to think about the ethics behind beating up NPC's pets, um...]
Training goes a lot faster when you fight other people. If you're not alright fighting the locals then maybe you could fight someone who was pulled into this world like us?
[The Bergmites are very happy with the attention and bounce up and down eagerly. At least they're still too weak to do any real damage to anything...]
They're uh... They're level ten. So they're not exactly... machines of ungodly death or anything.

I have two who've been keeping me safe and doing most of the fighting off wild beasts, but...well, I've been having a lot of flare-ups lately 'cause of all this winter and my joints have been killing me? So I should probably work on evolving Cholla into something ride-able.
[He works on petting the Bergmites, withdrawing his hand back into his pants pocking for a bit whenever it gets too cold.]
But hey, at least the snow doesn't smell like meat here, so...there's that.

[OKAY HE'S REALLY NOT SURE IF YOU'RE BEING SERIOUS OR JUST TEASING HIS SOCIAL SKILLS ARE NOT UP TO PAR FOR THIS]
But uh, if you want something you can ride, I hear Rapidash are pretty good. I've never raised one, so I couldn't tell you anything about them.

[Sorry, he's dead serious.]
I mean, I lived in the desert my whole life, so we only really got snow like, what, once every handful of dry, unending years? But it definitely smelled like meat.
Very, very strongly.
I also heard that Gogoat is a sturdy, ride-able Pokemon too, actually!
