SECOND REBELLION ❅ VOICE / ACTION [UNION CAVE]
[VOICE]
I have a question.
[Isaac's voice is tense. There's no video accompanying it, but it should be fairly obvious that he's stressed.]
What... would you do if your travelling partner simply stops... functioning? Someone I'm travelling with isn't reacting to anything. He's awake but...
[Isaac trails off. You can practically hear the shrug. He's being very careful about not revealing any names here but if you listen closely, you should be able to hear a very concerned Emmy Altava in the background. "Mr. Kimblee, are you okay?" So much for being secretive about who he's travelling with...]
[ACTION]
[After he turns off the Gear, Isaac turns back to look at the situation. Things seem pretty grim; Kimblee hasn't responded to anything in quite some time, and Isaac is worried.]
...We're not far from the exit, are we?
[The question is rhetorical, and after a moment more of thought, Isaac moves to pick Kimblee up bridal style.]
Come on. We're getting out of here.

Looks like sleeping beauty has awakened~!

OH MY GOD THERE ARE SOME THINGS HE DIDN'T NEED TO BE GREETED WITH UPON WAKING UP
A MILLION BLINDFOLDS HE KIND OF NEEDS THEM OH GOD]
Yes, I'm...quite fine, will you put me down -
[...god, it's bright out here. Why - ]
...has it been terribly long, then?
no subject
...You passed out in the cave. We were taking you to the Pokémon Center. It's probably best to get you checked out.
no subject
[[Judging by this conversation you're back to your old self, though! What a relief.]]
Feeling funny at all? Did you want some water?
no subject
[He'll just take the time to focus a bit less on the fact that Isaac is still carrying him like they're just coming off of what must have been the most demented wedding on the planet and instead looking over at Emmy with...well, the most dignity one can manage while looking like they just came off of the most demented wedding on the planet, really.
...and that is promptly broken by the fact that he is incredibly amused by what he's looking at, good lord.]
...enjoying my fedora, Miss Altava?
no subject
You're going to the Pokémon Center.
[The lineface here should express just how serious Isaac is about that. But his expression softens as he glances at Emmy, trying not to grin openly. No, we're totally being serious here!]
[...Emmy, why are you so cute.]
1/2
[[Oh right, she forgot about that!]]
Oh, well, I was just....! It fell off and I couldn't let it-!
[[alskfjasldakjsd]]
2/2
And she'll just be reaching up (ISAAC WHY ARE YOU SO TALL SHE IS STRAINING) and popping said fedora back on your head there, Mr Kimblee.]]
It looks far better on you, Mr Kimblee.
no subject
...before going back to looking at Isaac - you are not the only one capable of linefacing mightily here, good sir.]
Isaac, you are overreacting - now, if you don't mind, I'm more than capable of...
[He'll just be trailing off on telling you exactly what he's capable of here, because clearly, what he thinks he's capable of is escaping. Put him down, dammit.]
no subject
[Oh wait, hang on, Kimblee's escaping. Well, we certainly can't have that, can we? Isaac will just readjust his grip on Kimblee, then. He's not letting go any time soon.]
I don't care what you think you're capable of. That wasn't normal and you're going to get examined at the Pokémon Center.
[You don't have a choice in the matter.]
no subject
....and my goodness, this is entertaining.]]
Looks like you don't have much of a choice, Mr Kimblee~!
[[Sorry, hope you weren't looking for any support from her end!
:3]]
I want a go next, Mr Isaac!
no subject
I can assure you that it isn't the first time that's happened; I'm not going to tell you that I'm perfectly fine if I know otherwise.
[Except for the part where he totally would. But, details.]
And yes, do give Miss Altava a go - believe me, I don't mind.
no subject
Hey, now isn't the time, Emmy. We've got to make sure Kimblee's alright.
[Oh, right, talking about you like you aren't here isn't really a good thing, is it? How does he social anyway?]
Look, I don't care if you're claiming you're alright. It's not normal. We're getting you looked at, that's final.
no subject
[[Sorry boys, but this is hilarious.]]
I've got a spare Potion or two~!
no subject
EMMY, HE IS ALMOST TEMPTED TO ACTUALLY REQUEST A POTION FROM YOU
CAN YOU USE IT LIKE MACE
MAYBE THEN ISAAC WILL PUT HIM DOWN]
Both of you are ridiculous. Completely and utterly ridiculous.
[AND WITH THAT, ESCAPE ATTEMPT #2 IS GO]
no subject
[Anyway, escape attempt #2 catches him off-guard and he'll actually drop Kimblee this time! Lolwhoops. Probably not the best way to check and see if you're alright.]
no subject
Hello there Mr Kimblee! Thanks for dropping by!
[[....yeah just
brb, giggling so hard]]
no subject
But! At the very least all that physical training after his release from prison, and his subsequent (admittedly very stupid) attempts to vault up onto ledges in Johto have given him a decent sense of equilibrium in this place and let him know what particular physics he can and cannot bend here; although he does end up dropping a good distance and comes far closer to kissing the turf than he really would have liked, he manages to catch himself before something completely ungraceful happens - though it does end with him crouched low to the ground with his hands planted firmly down, he doesn't take long at all before he pushes himself up, dusting himself off and generally acting like that totally did not just happen.
Like. A. Boss.]
As appreciated as the sentiments are, Miss Altava, it's as I've said - I'm perfectly fine.
[...although, um, hopefully you don't expect him to actually walk right now, because he's been out for a while and the rush of blood to his head is doing him no favors.]
no subject
Enough joking around. This is serious. What happened back there, Kimblee?
no subject
You had us rather concerned, Mr Kimblee. We were quite worried about you.
[[....and she's noticed that you seem a little unsteady there, okay. Allow her to scamper over and stand by your side!]]
You can lean on me if you like! I'm short, but I'm rather sturdy!
no subject
[Of course, he has entirely too much pride for that, Emmy, but thank you anyway; he'll just be going back to brushing off his coat, batting out wrinkles that may or may not even exist while he thinks.
It's not that he doesn't know what happened; it's just a matter of explaining it in a way that doesn't sound at least mildly insane.]
As for what happened, I suppose you could say that I don't do well in dark, enclosed spaces; I'd think the reason for that would be obvious, Isaac.
no subject
...Yeah, I guess that makes sense. You said this happened before? Why didn't you tell us?
[...Because he didn't think it was going to happen again, obviously. Isaac sighs and absently pushes that stray strand of hair back behind his ear. He won't leave it there for long, however. He's not used to having it out of his face.]
You freaked us both out, Kimblee. You're sure you're okay?
no subject
[[That would explain it! Let her pat your arm, okay.]]
It's nothing to be ashamed about!
no subject
I suppose apologies are owed for worrying you; it won't happen again.
no subject
[So he'll keep quiet about it for the time being.]
You can't promise that. You didn't think it would happen again before now, right? But it did.
[He was really worried, okay, Kimblee.]
...You sure you're okay? We should probably stop for awhile anyway; we might as well get you checked out.
