SECOND REBELLION ❅ VOICE / ACTION [UNION CAVE]
[VOICE]
I have a question.
[Isaac's voice is tense. There's no video accompanying it, but it should be fairly obvious that he's stressed.]
What... would you do if your travelling partner simply stops... functioning? Someone I'm travelling with isn't reacting to anything. He's awake but...
[Isaac trails off. You can practically hear the shrug. He's being very careful about not revealing any names here but if you listen closely, you should be able to hear a very concerned Emmy Altava in the background. "Mr. Kimblee, are you okay?" So much for being secretive about who he's travelling with...]
[ACTION]
[After he turns off the Gear, Isaac turns back to look at the situation. Things seem pretty grim; Kimblee hasn't responded to anything in quite some time, and Isaac is worried.]
...We're not far from the exit, are we?
[The question is rhetorical, and after a moment more of thought, Isaac moves to pick Kimblee up bridal style.]
Come on. We're getting out of here.

[The question is rhetorical, and after a moment more of thought, Isaac moves to pick Kimblee up bridal style.]
Come on. We're getting out of here.

[Of course, he has entirely too much pride for that, Emmy, but thank you anyway; he'll just be going back to brushing off his coat, batting out wrinkles that may or may not even exist while he thinks.
It's not that he doesn't know what happened; it's just a matter of explaining it in a way that doesn't sound at least mildly insane.]
As for what happened, I suppose you could say that I don't do well in dark, enclosed spaces; I'd think the reason for that would be obvious, Isaac.
no subject
...Yeah, I guess that makes sense. You said this happened before? Why didn't you tell us?
[...Because he didn't think it was going to happen again, obviously. Isaac sighs and absently pushes that stray strand of hair back behind his ear. He won't leave it there for long, however. He's not used to having it out of his face.]
You freaked us both out, Kimblee. You're sure you're okay?
no subject
[[That would explain it! Let her pat your arm, okay.]]
It's nothing to be ashamed about!
no subject
I suppose apologies are owed for worrying you; it won't happen again.
no subject
[So he'll keep quiet about it for the time being.]
You can't promise that. You didn't think it would happen again before now, right? But it did.
[He was really worried, okay, Kimblee.]
...You sure you're okay? We should probably stop for awhile anyway; we might as well get you checked out.
no subject
[[Emmy has no doubt that Mr Kimblee is alright, but she's also rather supportive of the idea of stopping! Mainly because...]]
We need to eat, anyway, and the food will do you good! I'll make you boys whatever you like!
[[Because you're both lovely gentleman who are definitely not keeping anything from her!]]
no subject
...that said, Kimblee is honestly surprised that Isaac didn't say anything, simply because Isaac tends to be very blunt and a bit ignorant of social cues. It's a pleasant surprise, to be sure, but a surprise regardless.]
I suppose Isaac has a point, yes, even if he won't accept the reassurance that I'm not going to simply fall over and die within the next thirty seconds.
[The words are clearly more teasing than annoyed, however!]
Either way, if you're going to be cooking, then I certainly won't say no - I believe you know that rather well by now, don't you. Or is that why you offered? I must admit that it's a clever tactic on your part.
