[ Oh you poor bb... you must be super desperate. ]
Oh! I was just wondering when you would be back.
[ Have her best attempt at a kittyface while she's upset. ]
It's really lonely here. A few of Mamoru-kun's friends are here. But they're... [ beneath her. Is she turning up her nose and scoffing a little? She might be. ] Not that nice.
It'll be awhile. Kimblee said it'll take a couple of weeks to get to Violet.
[...And that doesn't cover training or the return trip. He didn't realize he'd be gone for that long.]
Really?
[Wait. That means you prefer him over people from your own world? ...Mamoru is from your world, right? Well, either way, that's a huge compliment and he's really not sure what to do with it other than... awkward at you. Nothing new!]
...Well, I'll be gone for awhile, but you can always contact me, Ouka.
[ What's with the awkward? Though, it is making her feel a little better. Because, dat face... It might be full of lols... ]
I will, then.
[ Oh god, Isaac. What have you gotten yourself into? DAILY 2AM PHONE CALLS? ... No, she's not that horrible of a person... She's also not as needy as Archer. ]
... Are you always up so late, though?
[ This tag has been brought to you by strikethroughs ]
[You should see him when someone gives him a real compliment, then!]
No, not really. I'm just used to getting up at a moment's notice, so I don't sleep very well.
[Yeah, like he's going to tell her that he ran around attempting to overthrow his country's government for seven years and then tried to freeze Central Headquarters over? She doesn't need to deal with any of that.]
[Isaac shrugs that off after a moment and attempts to provide an explanation.]
I was a State Alchemist. We worked with the military and our orders were to end a war that had lasted for years. We were ordered to kill and there wasn't anything we could do but obey those orders.
[There's silence for a moment before he continues.]
I left after that. I didn't want to be a part of a military that resorted to killing more people than necessary. We could have won the war without murdering everyone. But... There was no point to the war to begin with.
[More silence. Isaac decides against telling Ouka exactly what happened afterwards.]
I was working to stop the military when I found myself here.
The holocaust was an annihilation of a group of people back in my world... it happened years before I was born, but everyone knows about it. Horrible things happened. Everyone that was considered of a certain group of people were rounded up and either made to slave in horrible conditions with very little food, or just killed on the spot...
[ Falling silent, and then shaking her head a little. Her voice is a little cheerier when she speaks up again. ]
But thankfully, that isn't going to happen nowadays.
It's good that you were working on stopping them. Someone has to.
[Isaac is silent, listening to Ouka's explanation of things. It sounds even worse than what happened in Ishval. He hadn't thought that was possible.]
I'm sorry to hear that. What happened in my world wasn't that bad.
[...He doubts he'd be able to live with himself if he had participated in something that bad.]
Yeah, I know. There are people here who come from... later than I did, I guess. They're realizing just how bad a shape our country's in and they're trying to help.
[ Why yes. She may have obsessively talked about how excited she was that he was coming to get her and how much he loved her while you guys were traveling together...
... Just failed to mention who he was.
But, she doesn't exactly look happy about him right now. ]
He's... Omi-kun is someone I cared a lot about back home. I even got him to go to a party with me! And I was going to introduce Papa to him.
... But he's Mamoru-kun now. ... Oniichan.
[ You probably don't know what that last word means. But she says it with a great deal of uncertainty ]

The police force in Japan doesn't really do much. But once Father gets elected... he'll change that, I'm sure.

What? Something like the holocaust, you mean? That's horrible! Why would you...
