NINTH REBELLION ❅ VIDEO / ACTION [GOLDENROD CITY]
[Good morning, Route! The sun is barely up and already Isaac's broadcasting something. Clearly someone here's an early riser. This morning Isaac's sitting outside with several of Goldenrod's buildings in the background, surrounded by icicles. If you care to count, there are four Bergmites all clamoring for Isaac's attention and one Avalugg sitting behind Isaac. It looks like another Pokémon is serving as the cameraman today, though there isn't any indication which Pokémon it is.]
Hey, so I have a question.
[And as usual, Isaac doesn't know how to start this. He seems a bit more at ease today and is actually smiling for once. He's also dressed down, in just a dark green t-shirt and jeans despite the temperature and the surrounding Ice-types.]
I'm looking for sparring partners. Uh, human ones. I don't really spar with my Pokémon. Anyway, I've been here awhile and I'm pretty sure my fighting skills are beginning to suffer, so I'd like to work on that. I'm in Goldenrod right now, but we can always set something up sometime later. This isn't something I need immediately or anything, I just figured I'd see if anyone's interested.
[And then Isaac looks awkward, because how the hell does he end something like this.]
Uh, thanks for your time?
[Well, he tried. The feed cuts out there.]
[You know, when Isaac first evolved a Bergmite into an Avalugg, he was expecting something more impressive. Not that Avalugg isn't impressive, but ever since it was compared to a dining room table he hasn't been able to unsee it. It also doesn't help that Avaluggs are really slow. If you happen to be out around the southern outskirts of Goldenrod, you might catch sight of Isaac riding on top of that Avalugg like the world's slowest-moving beastmaster. There are quite a few Bergmites piled on behind Isaac, and they're sliding around with practiced ease on the slippery surface of the much larger Pokémon, never once risking falling off. Apparently we're riding in style today.
(This may or may not have something to do with the fact that Kimblee has an awesome Pokémon to ride on and it's been awhile since Isaac's blatantly copied Kimblee. This also may or may not have something to do with the fact that riding on a glacier was one of the biggest highlights of Isaac's life back home for a brief, shining moment before some brats showed up and ruined everything in the best way possible.)
This display of slow goes on for a few minutes before Isaac finally glances down at the Avalugg.]
I'd get back to the hotel faster if I was walking...
[He then proceeds to jump off the Avalugg, dropping the six and a half feet to the ground without injuring himself somehow. The Bergmites all crowd around the edge of the Avalugg, chirping down at Isaac excitedly.]
No, don't you dare-- You guys know I can't carry you--!
[Too late. INCOMING BERGMITES!! Since they weigh about 220 lbs individually, there is literally no way Isaac is going to be able to catch them all. Care to help or watch them crash into the ground and see if they shatter like regular icicles?]
[action]
Nonon isn't exactly in a decent position to see exactly what's going on over there, she just knows that there's a bunch of those icicles on top of an Avalugg and suddenly they're all running over to the side (as much as those things can be said to run, anyway) and...jumping off like those weasels that she's heard about. (Lemmings? Is it lemmings that do that? She's pretty sure it's not ferrets, though that was the first thing to come to mind...)
She's been out training this morning and it's obvious, her hair coming down disheveled from under her hat; it's also a lot colder than she's used to, given by how flushed her features are. But like hell if she's not going to look cute as hell anyway, and she's got what looks like a white flower pinned onto the hat in question - closer inspection, however, will make it rather plain that it's not a flower but a Floette just kind of...hanging on.
You know, as you do.
So let her just kind of pace around the Avalugg to see exactly what is going on over there; she's...kind of morbidly amused when she does, not even gonna lie.]
Having problems with the horde, Beastmaster?
no subject
A. Attempt to catch them and hope they don't all land on you and crush all your bones
B. Recall them into their Pokéballs so no one gets hurt
or C. RUN LIKE FUCKING HELL
the correct answer is always C, don't even lie.
Anyway, Isaac is surprisingly speedy for someone his size and he manages to GET THE FUCK OUT OF THERE to avoid the incoming icicles. The Avalugg seems to be more on top of his shit than anyone else in the immediate vicinity and rolls his eyes before using an Ice Beam attack to create a super cute little ice slide for the Bergmites to land on and slide safely to the ground. This is why he's the one Isaac chose to train, he's actually smart!!
So now that the excitable mini-icebergs have all landed safely, Isaac returns to check them over. He glances up when he hears a familiar voice and immediately grins.]
I guess you could say that, though that's implying I attempt to control them in the first place. They just do their own thing, I'm only along for the ride.
[The icicles also turn toward Nonon, immediately chirping loudly to get her attention. All four of them are terribly spoiled when it comes to pets and treats, so don't mind them coming slowly closer.....]
What brings you out here? Training?
[omg so tiny and cute tho!!!]
no subject
[...these Bergmites are like the size of a small child, aka like two-thirds her height, jesus, hello. They're just sorta advancing there.]
Same for you, I'm assuming?
no subject
[DO YOU HAVE TREATS, TINY AND CUTE LADY]
Sort of. I figured I'd take these guys out to train for a bit, but they were more interested in trying to catch an Abra. They don't exactly have the best attention span...
no subject
...They also don't have the best speed, so I'll bet that was an adventure.
no subject
They tried really hard, I'll give them that. They found one sleeping and surrounded it. They managed to hit each other instead of it.
[It was pretty embarrassing tbh...]
no subject
That said, she laughs a bit at that, good lord.]
Well, I can see why you thought they needed the training.
no subject
They're not the brightest... That's why I picked this one to train seriously, he was the only one who actually seemed interested in it.
[He's half-convinced these guys are just little sadists...]

[NONON WHY DID YOU TELL HIM THIS]

[NONON WHAT DID YOU DO]

It's really stupid, Beastmaster.
no subject
[He's not sure what it is, but boy is it a thing.]
Where did you get her?

...And apparently if you flop her ears back over to cover the openings she stops yelling, so at least there's that much.

[Weirder than breathing through their ears in general????? How does Pokémon biology work, we just don't know.]
