I've got a few questions, particularly about that new type of Pokémon. Well, they're not exact new anymore... Anyway, can anyone tell me what the Fairy-type is good against and weak against? I haven't fought very many of them and I don't have any, so I've been curious about that.

[There's a pause while Isaac figures out what to ask next.]

...I'm also curious about why so many new Pokémon showed up. I don't think anyone's going to have an actual answer for that, but I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on it. Why did so many new ones show up? Why did a new type appear? How did Pokémon that previously weren't the Fairy-type become the Fairy-type?

[Another pause.]

Ah, actually, if you have a Pokémon that was previously a different type and became a Fairy-type, did you notice anything strange when that happened?

[And now for something different: yet another pause! This one's longer while Isaac attempts to find a way to end this.]

Sounds like you've got a lot of information on them. I can't believe they're completely immune to Dragon-type attacks though, that's impressive. Poison- and Steel-type though, huh...

[There's a pause while Isaac thinks about it. He should probably raise things that aren't Water- and Ice-types...]

What kind of Fairy-type Pokémon do you have?

I know, right? My poor Dragon Pokemon may be huge, but they're so scared of my cute little Sylveon...

Oh, but I have all different kinds! Clefairy and Jigglypuff are my favorites, but I also have a Togetic and a Floette, and a Spritzee and a Swirlix! And a Klefki and a Sylveon, too!

Oh wow, sounds like you've collected a lot of them. Were you here before we found out about the Fairy-type?

I was, but not for too much longer! Only for a couple of months before then. I was really surprised when my Jigglypuff became part-Fairy! One day just out of nowhere it happened, it was weird! I mean, I certainly wasn't complaining, but it was right after that whole thing on Mt Silver happened, so Arceus might have had something to do with it...

Did anything happen when it changed types or was it something you only noticed when you were training it?

No, there wasn't any sort of fanfare about it one way or the other. It just sort of happened, so it wasn't like it evolved or anything. Jigglypuff's whole moveset changed up a bit, too, to learn some Fairy moves it can use! Which makes sense, since Disarming Voice seems right up its alley...

Huh. I wonder if it noticed the difference right away...

[If it had, it probably would have tried to get your attention or something, right?? Who knows, he's never raised a Jigglypuff.]

You mentioned a lot of other ones I didn't recognize - are they some of the newer ones that showed up here?

I think she did, because all of a sudden she was trying to intimidate my Haxorus...

[And it was working, as silly as the mental image is.]

Well, Clefairy and Jigglypuff and Togetic are Pokemon that had the Fairy-type just added to them, but all of the others are ones that came here during those swarms! I have pretty much all of the new Pokemon here that are Fairies, I think, except maybe one? I think there's one that's part-Rock out there, but I'm not quite sure where I can find one now. Maybe in a cool cave somewhere...

Carbink? I think that's the name of it.

[Kimblee has one for some reason. Probably because it can explode or something...]

Are you collecting them?

Not quite! I love Normal-types and Fairy-types, but catching them all seems like a bit of a daunting task...

Oh yeah, definitely. I don't know exactly how many Fairy-types there are, but there are a lot of Normal-types. You could be here for years and still not have them all.

[He knows from experience. Though he's been collecting Ice-types and failing so...]

My sister has a lot of Ice-types, but I don't think she has anywhere near them all, either...as for Fairy-types, with all of the ones that changed type, I'm not quite sure exactly how many there are myself. I'd like to try to get a whole bunch, though!
