[So apparently Kimblee's in the base? Hopefully it's not because he's actually doing anything for Team Rocket. Anyway, Isaac is in room 102, seated at the desk and going through posts to the network while he waits for Kimblee to arrive.]

That said, however, the knock on Isaac's door is reasonably prompt; he can feel his nerves waking up a bit before he does so, the tension heightening in his body a little before he forces himself to settle. He can't really work out why that reaction is happening, and he's not about to dwell on it any; he doubts Isaac will stay this time, either, so anticipating anything would be incredibly stupid.
But he's never really been one to refuse to indulge in something while it's right in front of him; he'd taken advantage of those three days with a vengeance, hadn't he?
...just...let him knock and settle his features into something reasonably calm, all right, though the look in his eyes is rather alive regardless.]

The second reason was... well, I guess I was kind of afraid of messaging you only to find out you'd left or something.
[He absently tugs on his ponytail at that, glancing away. He probably shouldn't have admitted that; it sounds stupid.]

[He pauses for a moment once that's out there, however; he isn't sure how much he should say about what's happened since then, but he imagines gaskets will be blown if Isaac finds out somehow later down the line and he wasn't told beforehand, and there's no sense in making this messier than it's already surely going to be.]

I mean you didn't get caught up in the war or the aftermath of it. You seem completely unaffected by it, actually. So if you can get through something like that that would normally be pretty traumatic for a person, something like this seems insignificant.

[Kimblee shifts a bit, the gesture awkward, before he pushes himself away from the wall. He steps forward, toward Isaac - not quite touching him, but more than close enough to, if he felt like it; enough to be an invitation, as it usually is.

That said, however, the hugging gets a light flinch out of him, as it always does, but he's quicker to recover from it this time than he usually is; he relaxes almost immediately, really, leaning up against him and pressing his hands against Isaac's back, bunching up the fabric of his jacket in his fists. He's not clinging by any means - his grip isn't nearly tight enough for that - but he doesn't seem too inclined to go anywhere, either.]
