FIRST REBELLION ❅ ACCIDENTAL VIDEO / ACTION [ROUTE 29]
[Isaac arrived earlier today and he's been spending his time studying the network and the Pokémon. He shouldn't be here; he's dead. He's not dwelling on that right now though.]
[Instead, he's being attacked by a Sentret. It's using Scratch on the Shellder Isaac received to start with. Both the Shellder and the trainer seem completely unimpressed.]
Tackle, Antony.
[The Shellder responds immediately, slamming into the offending Pokémon. Isaac doesn't seem to have realized that the Gear is on and viewing the battle at a skewed angle. At least he's not in the frame?]
What the hell is this world? Sure as hell isn't Amestris.
[The Shellder uses Tackle a few more times to take the Sentret out and hops over to his trainer happily. Isaac kneels to pick it up, allowing the viewer a quick shot of his face.]
I guess I'll figure it out eventually.

Sorry to hear that.
[And in a way, he really is. A whole year has passed since his own death; was Kimblee in jail the entire time? Did he escape or something? He's right though; its not important now.]
I take it you mean about what Bradley's up to. He's trying to use the country to create a Philosopher's Stone; that's what Ishval was. There's no justification for it - screw what the state's said.
[A pause.]
But I'm guessing there's more to it than that.
no subject
...AGAIN WITH THE ESCAPING? REALLY? REALLY?
why does everyone assume that oh my godddddd
...at least whatever happens in brackets stays in brackets.]
There almost always is, when it comes to large plots like that. You found out about the circle underneath Amestris, then?
no subject
It had to be somewhere and I doubt Bradley was going to have it drawn through the damn streets.
[In other words he just sort of guessed. Hey, at least he was right!]
That doesn't explain how it would have been built. It would have taken years. A lot of the battles that have been fought to formulate the points on the array weren't under Bradley's reign either. That's what's been bothering me; is this some kind of conspiracy the entire government's been behind for years?
[Wildly guessing? Yep!]
no subject
...wait]
And you came to these conclusions on your own? I'm going to assume you didn't exactly have much help with this, given that you came to me looking for assistance - you worked all of this out by yourself?
[what the christ even happened, did you seriously just look up one day and realize that you're living in a weirdly circular country or something]
no subject
Well. I'm impressed.
no subject
[That... was a compliment wasn't it. What does he do with it? Outside of herpderp at you, that is. Because he's kind of doing a lot of that right now.]
no subject
They could have, yes. Of course. Should they have? Probably.
But up until that point, I don't believe anyone actually had, now, had they?
no subject
Not from what I saw, no.
[But... but it was obvious though! Do we just live in a country full of morons or something?]
It sounds like you knew about this even before I showed up. Why wouldn't you help me?
[That... might have sounded a bit more hurt than he intended. Whoops.]
no subject
...possible morons in Amestris aside, however, Kimblee definitely does notice that hurt tone; he doesn't seem horribly fazed by it, short of a bit of a headtilt starting before he realizes what he's doing and corrects the behavior.]
As I told you before, I've never been motivated by such noble intentions as revenge or self-sacrifice. I had my own ideologies, and my own thoughts on what should be done; you had yours, and it was clear to me that they weren't going to mesh.
no subject
[He's kind of dead anyway...]
What happened after I died?
[A lot can happen in a year. What did he miss?]
no subject
To start with - obviously, whatever it was you were trying to do to Central didn't succeed. For a while, you were made fairly infamous as a treasonous rebel; your one-man rampage was what got the attention, not the reasons behind it.
However.
The plan that Bradley was working towards was set into motion almost a year after you had died. I didn't exactly live to see the actual end of the battle myself, but the way things were going, there was no way that plan would possibly succeed. I've also spoken to others that have confirmed that Amestris is both safe and in one piece; I imagine you're pleased to know that much.
no subject
...That's good.
[It really is. He didn't succeed and hell, it sounds like he didn't manage to do anything outside of get himself killed, but at least Bradley was stopped. At least everything turned out fine.]
What happened to you, then? If Amestris didn't become a Stone, how did you die?
no subject
[He doesn't sound disturbed by this at all, however; it's just a statement. The sky is blue, the grass is green, my soul was ripped out of my body and used to fuel a Philosopher's Stone.]
As you said, I was aware of what was going to befall the country; I was killed in a battle against one of those responsible. The Philosopher's Stone my soul was used for was destroyed shortly thereafter.
[And all of that is true! All of it is perfectly true. He was killed in the battle against Pride, after all; he just wasn't fighting for the side he's skewing the implications toward.]
no subject
[You were used in a Philosopher's Stone? That must have been horrifying. He's silent for a moment before finally finding something to say.]
I'm sorry to hear that. At least the Stone was destroyed.
[Still...]
no subject
...yes, well.
[Wow, he's...really not sure what to say to that.]
no subject
[Of course it's genuine sympathy! Why would he lie to you?]
What all are you doing here?
[Let's... try switching topics, then?]
no subject
Well, I've been training the chimeras I've managed to capture so far; has anyone explained the gym badges to you yet?
no subject
No. I take it that's what we're supposed to be doing here, though?
[Seriously, he needs some sort of goal. He can't just wander around aimlessly!]
no subject
Where are you now, if I might ask?
no subject
[Pointing the Gear at the Shellder-- oh come on, do you have to sleep on his boot, man? It's managing to snore too. Don't ask him how.]
What's the point in battling the Gym Leaders anyway? Why should we be training these things?
[As for where he is...?]
Route 29. I left the town I woke up in awhile ago.
no subject
Of course, there's a high probability that that's utter lies; most here seem to be doing it for the challenge - to give themselves something to do while they're here and all.
no subject
Whether it's true or not is irrelevant; there must be some reason behind bringing us here and forcing us to fight. What are they gaining out of this?
[Because only care about Equivalent Exchange?]
no subject
If you continue along the route in front of you, you should come to a city in about...three days' time, by my estimate. Cherrygrove, I believe it's called - shall we meet there, then?
no subject
[Uh, hang on, pretend you didn't see that blatant 8D expression there. It's not like he wants to see you or anything.]
Yeah. Sure. I'll meet you there.
no subject
I'm not in the area itself, but I can be there within a reasonable amount of time. Likely around four days, I'd imagine; take your time.
[He's likely going to need the 24 hours to convince Archer that this is a good idea, and to not shoot you in the face on sight.]
