FOURTH REBELLION ❅ ACTION [LAKE OF RAGE] | FOURTH WALL
[The very first thing Isaac did this morning was accidentally freeze his Surskit. He learned the hard way back home that getting a whole array tattooed on the palm of your hand was a stupid idea. He had gotten used to it though, and had worn gloves at all times. Besides, he used the gauntlet for the most part. It had worked well enough when he was constantly on the run. After taking the Surskit to the Pokémon Center, freaking out a bit, and apologizing to the Pokémon, he was finally able to reflect on just what had happened.]
[Why is he suddenly capable of freezing things again? He couldn't do it before. The tattoo was useless here. He didn't have to wear gloves, and he's just gotten used to not wearing them. The tattoo itself is pretty ragged - the ink hasn't fallen out yet, but that's just a matter of time. If he can use his alchemy again, he really should get the tattoo fixed.]
[So after herping at his hand for far longer than was really necessary, Isaac set out to test his alchemy on something. The Lake of Rage, to be specific. He's always liked water and for some reason he woke up here in Mahogany Town. That didn't bother him half as much as it probably should have.]
[If you happen to be in the area, you may notice that Isaac is doodling something near the edge of the lake. He has his Mamoswine out as well, but she isn't paying much attention to what he's doing. Isaac finally sits back on his heels and examines the drawing.]
Done. Let's see if this works.
[Isaac presses his hands to the array; blue light crackles around the array - it's a much weaker version of the one he attempted to use to freeze Central over. The lake begins to freeze slowly, gaining momentum as it spreads out across the lake. It's a weak cover - the Magikarp in the lake will be fine. Isaac smiles; he's glad he can still pull this off. Not that he has the Philosopher's Stone or any interest in freezing over an entire city, but the capability is back.]
[Needless to say, it feels good to be able to use his alchemy again.]

...I enjoy how I have just enough journals for this man to fuck with everyone.
[And for no real reason, there is Kimblee, leaning against one of the nearby trees; his stance is casual, legs crossed at the ankle, arms folded across his chest. He's looks enough like the one you know: the immaculate white suit, the fedora, that odd look glittering in his blue eyes -
...wait.]
I loled way harder than I should have.
Not really. It's just good to have my alchemy back a...gain...
[...You're not Kimblee.]
[...Well, no, that's not exactly right. You are Kimblee, but you're not his Kimblee. Though it could be argued that you are, since you're the blue-eyed version he knew back home--]
[--Which is the version he's admired for years. So does that mean that...?]
[No. He's not going to go there.]
Are you new here?
[He's not entirely sure what to think, but he's immediately got his guard up. It doesn't matter that he has a giant murdermammoth next to him - once again his instinct is to go for the alchemy. He doesn't have the gauntlet, but he doesn't need it. He doesn't think Kimblee means him any harm but... it doesn't hurt to keep his guard up.]
no subject
It certainly seems that way, anyway.
[He's admittedly a bit wary; why aren't you angry? It's not like that meeting in Central Prison went well.]
You seem to be doing well enough.
no subject
[What... does he do with this...? This feels like when he first spoke with Kimblee here-- oh.]
I've been here for awhile now. It's... complicated, but there's another version of you here. The point is, I'm not upset about what happened in Central Prison.
[...herp tho.]
no subject
the
the point
point a is over here, point b is right next to it, why are you over there at point q
where did you
what
...OH WELL NOT COMPLAINING]
Ah, that's good to know, then. It would be unfortunate to start this out fighting, I think.
no subject
[...OR LOGIC]
Yeah, it would. ...So you just woke up here?
[Holy shit, two Kimblees. This might have been okay before he started dating the other one but um... now...? Not so much.]
[...orz forever.]
no subject
[AND JUST LOOK AT HOW PLEASED HE IS ABOUT THAT.
The dark look passes quickly, however, replaced with something that's still incredibly linefacey, but a bit less like he hates his life and everything in it.]
But I suppose that's a matter of details; from what you've said, this isn't the first time that's happened - "another version," Isaac?
no subject
[So you're dead too? Are we sure this isn't the afterlife...?]
No, it's not. Most people are pulled from their homeworld while they're still alive, but there are a few of us who are dead back home.
[...oh uh, right. Well.]
Yeah. He looks a lot like you obviously. Except he's got gold eyes and he's uh...
[...................herp.]
...Taller. He's exactly like you otherwise. He was here before I showed up.
no subject
...taller.
[Right. Moving. On. We are moving on.]
I see. So leaving isn't an option for you, then, based on what you've said - if you were brought here after your death...
[Actually, no, this one isn't dead; he's just a busy man who cannot afford to be distracted by gallavanting all over the countryside befriending adorable fluffballs.
However, when it comes to death...]
...I still don't see how else you expected that raid on Central to end, you know.
no subject
Yeah, I was. I'm fine though; being here is much better than being dead.
[Oh Kimblee... he's totally assuming you're dead. That's going to suck. But for now let's focus on another horribly awkward issue!]
...I was fine with dying, Kimblee. If I had to die to send a message, then fine. I thought I could handle it.
no subject
That isn't the point; the point is that the odds were never in your favor to begin with. If you failed, it would render the entire thing pointless - you'd be written off as a madman, nothing else.
[He pauses.]
Exactly what happened, by the way.
[Moving on.]
I know that the benefits of success probably made it seem worth it, but the odds were stacked in favor of failure. It doesn't matter how good your cause was, you stood almost entirely to lose if you went ahead with acting on it like that.
Do you understand?
no subject
Yeah, I understand. I weighed the options carefully before I did anything, Kimblee. It wasn't the best decision and yeah, I could have made some better ones. I could have attempted to spread word of what I was doing and why I was doing it before attacking. I could have attempted to talk to some of the State Alchemists - both Mustang and Armstrong weren't pleased with the way things were going. I could have at least explained myself a bit better to those who tried to stop me.
But I didn't. I made mistakes that ultimately cost me my life. If I had a chance to return and do things differently, I would. I don't regret my actions - I still do think drastic measures needed to be taken - but I do regret the lives I took. There could have been another way to solve this.
[...Considering how little he spoke in Ishval, this is probably the most you've ever heard him say. Whoops.]

Rima's sat up on one of the branches, leaning against the trunk and nibbling a piece of Pocky]
Nice. [She's seen more impressive feats with ice but still] Doubt the fish will appreciate it though.
no subject
It's not strong enough to freeze them, if that's what you're worried about. I didn't want to risk hurting them.

[......]
Carmen, Earthquake.
[The Mamoswine responds, slamming a foot down and breaking up the ice. That's better, right?]
no subject
Hi fellow ice type!]
no subject
no subject
Oh God.
[...That sums up everything, doesn't it?]
Carmen, Earthquake! Just enough to break the ice!
[This would be the entire reason why he has that mammoth out with him. She complies, slamming a foot to the ground and sending cracks rippling through the ice. You should be able to get out now...! Hopefully!]
no subject
Th- thankkk yyyou. Itt sssuddenly ggot ssso cccold!
no subject
Ah, yeah, sorry about that. That's my fault.
wrong icon, sorry.
no subject
...What the hell was the point of that?
1/2
Well, she's not in the town, but she'd recognize this place any day and it's too close to that place anyway!]
2/2
Hey, you can't just do that! There are pokemon living in that lake!
