FIRST REBELLION ❅ ACCIDENTAL VIDEO / ACTION [ROUTE 29]
[Isaac arrived earlier today and he's been spending his time studying the network and the Pokémon. He shouldn't be here; he's dead. He's not dwelling on that right now though.]
[Instead, he's being attacked by a Sentret. It's using Scratch on the Shellder Isaac received to start with. Both the Shellder and the trainer seem completely unimpressed.]
Tackle, Antony.
[The Shellder responds immediately, slamming into the offending Pokémon. Isaac doesn't seem to have realized that the Gear is on and viewing the battle at a skewed angle. At least he's not in the frame?]
What the hell is this world? Sure as hell isn't Amestris.
[The Shellder uses Tackle a few more times to take the Sentret out and hops over to his trainer happily. Isaac kneels to pick it up, allowing the viewer a quick shot of his face.]
I guess I'll figure it out eventually.

You are in Johto. We're not anywhere near home.
[Meanwhile Spheal is enjoying the new person on camera and let's out a little wave.]
[...whoops.]
...Didn't think so.
['Sup, Miles! You'll actually get a proper video of Isaac now!]
I take it you're from Amestris too, then.
[Waaaait a second. He looks down and then back up.
And back down and back up.]
You're just a little bit ahead of me.
Route 29, right?
[Alright, let's look for a dark-skinned guy with some awesome sideburns, then!]
[let's look for an old crazy man.
Oh there he is. SO LET'S HAVE THEM MEET.]
[action]
[Well anyway! Isaac is still carrying that Shellder since it's too slow to keep up with him. He'll set it down once he comes to a stop though, and it immediately hops over to examine Miles. 'Sup dude?]
You're with the military? Are you an alchemist?
[action]
[When Isaac arrives, Spheal notices a new friend and jumps down to play with the Shellder. Ice friend! Miles stands there, and looks at Isaac.]
I am with the military. However, I am not an alchemist.
[action forever okay]
There's that at least. Did you serve in Ishval?
[This is his judge of character, just bear with him.]
[action forever GOD FINE]
I would have been killed.
[well there's that.]
1 / 2
You're...!
2 / 2
...Why would you serve the Amestrian military?
[...After what they did to your people... Okay, he's really trying not to say it, but it should be obvious what he's thinking.]

[He moves his sunglasses back on. He doesn't want to show too many people.]
I am working to change the public perception of Ishvalans. I serve in the Amestrian Military for that simple reason.
If I did not, I would be just another Ishvalan that people pitied. And I will not let myself be pitied for my race.
In this world, you do what you must for your goals.
[And you know all about that.]

[That's certainly not something he would have thought of. Willingly working for the military that destroyed the majority of your race? He can't imagine it. Hell, he can't imagine staying in the military after the orders he was given in Ishval. It might have made things a little easier to work against the military, but... It's not something he could do in good conscience.]
I see.

I ask that you share this information as little as possible. For my sake.

[He doubts it matters much to the people wandering around here. The majority of them tend to say the same vacant things over and over again from what he's seen. Still, he understands why Miles would ask him.]
...The name's Isaac by the way.
no subject
Miles.

[Don't worry about it; he's good at keeping secrets.]

[Good, he'll appreciate it. However, so far, it seems that everyone who would care already knows.]

...It's what I've heard, at the very least.

[No really, what's the point?]
